"Lessons In Becoming Myself" biography by Ellen Burstyn

If you are an actor, this book is a must read. If you are a woman, the life journey of this brave, ‘mother-less’ artist will speak to you in all the places that hurt.

Ellen Burstyn has lived the epitome of an Artist’s life, complete with abusive parents, high school tragedy, showbiz triumph, reversals of fortune and a heroine in search of professional and spiritual fulfillment.

The only thing annoying about reading this book, is I had to stop to take notes on my kindle, every other page! I rarely have the experience of reading a line that I always want to remember, and this book had several.

LESSONS IN BECOMING MYSELF is a captivating book that will teach you plenty about acting, technique, style, the power of sufi healing, magic in our lives, the genius of Lee Strasberg, and how to reinvent yourself and keep going on even when everything in your world collapses.
